How Long Should You Freeze Your Banana Pops for?

You should freeze your bananas for an hour, before eating them.
They will last in the freezer for a week.

What Makes these banana pops healthy?

Dark chocolate is used. Studies have shown that dark chocolate is a micronutrient power house. Packed full of flavornoids, anti-oxidents and polyphenols perfect for improving brain health and fighting disease.
They contain naturally occurring sugar from fruit to add sweetness-rather than full of processed sugar which without the fruit fiber to help slow its digestion can cause sluggishness and blood sugar spikes.

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 1 hour freezing
Yield: 8

Frozen Banana Pops Ingredients:
- 4 ripe bananas, halved
- 200g Dark Chocolate
- 1 packet dried mango or pineapple

Method:

  1. Place your dark chocolate (preferably 75% or more) in a bowl & microwave for 1 minute. Stir and microwave again for 20 seconds. Continue until the chocolate is completely melted.
  2. Chop 4 Bananas in half.
  3. Coat the Bananas in the dark chocolate spooning it over and ensuring they are completely covered.(Dont place the banana in the chocolate-this can cause the chocolate to set).
  4. Add the dried fruit on top of the chocolate coated banana, and place in a container to set in the freezer.
  5. Remove and let defrost for a couple of minutes before eating!
